The residency program includes a one-year internship at a participating dental practice or a university or college. After undergoing the final year of the residency, candidates are required to take a board certification exam to become a practicing dentist.

Dentist training helps the individual understand the basic disease process, diagnosis, treatment, preventative and preventive practices, and proper procedures of the dental field.
